MICHAEL CHAIN has hit the charts again this year with more songs off his Hard Ten Records CDs. No stranger to the music scene (he was the lead singer for the original KNACK on Capitol records) L.A. Times critic Robert Hilburn listed his band as one of the top 10 greatest concert groups of all time. Michael has played everywhere from honky tonks to the Hollywood Bowl and shared stages with everyone from Led Zeppelin to Frank Sinatra.
A gifted writer of both words and music, Michael’s songs are played on Country, Rock, R&B, Hot AC, Americana, Easy Listening, Blues, and Jazz radio stations across the US and all over the world. His songs have been recorded by B.J. Thomas, Vicki Lawrence, Wayne Newton, the Knack, John Davidson, Claudine Longet, Leroy Van Dyke, Cheryl Ladd, Eric Anderson, the Mills Brothers, and international stars like Manoella Torres, Bella Erny, Martha Caramelo, and Laura Alegria to name a few.
Michael is also an Emmy nominated television writer (Rambo, Punky Brewster, Police Academy, Chuck Norris Show) and a top voiceover artist. You’ve heard him as the voice of McDonalds’ Chicken McNuggets, the Transformers, and on countless TV and radio commercials from Budweiser to Sears. As a comedy writer/performer Michael worked with Milton Berle, Robin Williams, John Ritter, Joey Bishop, Bob Hope, Fred Willard, Phil Foster, Rodney Dangerfield, Kenneth Mars, and Harvey Korman.
Michael’s band is creating quite a buzz in music circles – they are all top studio pickers and seasoned concert performers. You’ve heard them on hits by Bob Seager, Ricky Nelson, Tina Turner, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, Tim Morgan, Paul Anka, Danny O’ Keefe, Kim Karnes, Tom Waits, Jackson Browne, J. D. Souther, the Knack, the Association, the Champs...the list goes on and on. You gotta catch these guys live. This band don’t suck!
